Angiology

Angiology is a branch of internal medicine involving vessel diseases. It includes the development, epidemiology, diagnosis, conservative and interventional therapy, rehabilitation and prevention of diseases of the arteries, veins and lymphatics.

The well-defined dissociation of other disciplines is neither possible nor desired. To exercise angiology an interdisciplinary cooperation of internists, vessel surgeons and phlebologists is necessary.
