Thoughts about diversity
Dear patient,
Those of you who have followed our development since the founding of our doctor´s office must have noticed that our clinic has grown continually.
At the beginning there were two doctors who practiced, now a days you can meet up to twelve colleagues in white.
Some may fear that this development has created a deficit of individuality in the treatment. And as a matter of fact it is no longer possible for our colleagues to know every single patient by name as you are probably used to with your family doctor. However, as an excuse we have to say that we have seen and treated more than 90.000 new patients since 1991.
Apart from that, the large variety of doctors with their different qualifications, expert knowledge and their different areas of focus offers you many advantages. We are in the fortunate position of approaching your problem from the different perspectives at any time, “vessels and heart integrated”. Furthermore, there is probably one doctor among our medical colleagues whose mentality and whose style of working matches your individual needs and desires. Such an attractive offer you will not find a second time in North-Rhine-Westphalia.
We also make an effort to not make it seem like a mass processing. Well organized scheduling of appointments should guarantee that there is enough time for each patient to be treated.
Usually that works. However, there are many unforeseen emergencies we have to deal with every day. These emergencies enjoy privileges within limits so that on days with an unproportional occurrence of emergencies a waiting period maybe generated. We apologise for any inconveniences. Imagine you had such an emergency. That will make you feel much better about your unexpected waiting time.
Not to mention that the patient in the operating area who is “on the table” to get surgery or a catheter treatment is the most important for us. Everything else has to subordinate to the good of this patient.
Last but not least: In spite of the diversity we have ensured that if you want to be treated by a certain doctor you will get an appointment with him. Regarding that we ask you to express your wishes definitively. We like to rearrange our schedule for you. But waiting time for those appointments can be variably longer, e.g. some doctors are doing more surgery than others and are therefore not able to do as many appointments.
All of our medical and non-medical employees wear well visible nametags. So that you can inform yourself we have listed the following doctors with their different emphasises.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask anyone from the team. We see ourselves as service providers for you. Therefore we are thankful for any constructive criticism or suggestions.
